A Special Plenary Session |

A plenary session, “Adult Education: A State, National, and Global Perspective,” will be presented by Dennis Jones, President of the National Center for Higher Education Management Systems (NCHEMS), at 2:45 in the same room immediately following the joint luncheon with the Governor’s Trusteeship Conference. Jones has been instrumental in putting into perspective for other states Kentucky’s work resulting from adult and postsecondary education reform. He will help us celebrate our good work in adult education, share his wealth of knowledge on the national and global state of education and its relationship to workforce development, and predict what challenges lie ahead of us. NCHEMS is a research and development center founded to improve the management effectiveness of colleges and universities. A member of the staff since 1969, Jones is widely recognized for his work in such areas as state and institutional approaches to resource allocation, strategic planning, educational needs assessment, and strategic decision-making.
