The U.S. Department of Education, Office of Vocational and Adult Education, has mandated phase-out of the A-LAS assessment as an approved test for use under NRS. The test publisher, CTB McGraw-Hill, has informed OVAE that it is discontinuing this assessment. As of July 1, 2006, A-LAS will not be on the list of KYAE-approved assessments.
