KYAE Region Change Effective July 1, 2009
Due to state budget reductions, we are unable to fill the program support associate position that has been vacant since Martha Fightmaster’s retirement in August 2007. As a result, effective July 1, 2009, KYAE is redefining the regional boundaries to reduce the number of regions from six to five. The new boundaries were defined giving consideration to the Workforce Investment Areas and an equitable number of counties assigned to each associate. The current regional system will be in place for the remainder of this fiscal year.

Registration Open – KYAE June 2009 Meetings
KYAE will be hosting meetings in June 2009 to discuss new and exciting changes/opportunities in the upcoming year. Please mark your calendars for one of the dates and locations below.
June 3 Rough River Dam State Resort Park, Falls of Rough, KY
June 4 Jenny Wiley State Resort Park, Prestonsburg, KY
June 5 Blue Licks Battlefield State Resort Park, Mt Olivet, KY
June 8 Lake Cumberland State Resort Park, Jamestown, KY
June 9 Lake Barkley State Resort Park, Cadiz, KY
June 11 General Butler State Resort Park, Carrollton, KY
The meeting sites are strategically located within the State Park system. Programs are no longer required to attend the meeting in your region. Instead, you may elect to attend the closest meeting location to reduce travel expenses. Click onto one of the above links to access driving directions.
Due to budget constraints, lunch will not be provided; however, arrangements have been made for attendees to eat lunch in State Park restaurants at your own cost.
Each meeting room will accommodate 45-50 people. The program director and one additional staff person may attend. Please confirm your attendance by e-mailing Toni Quire no later than Friday May 15, 2009.
Please register early, since locations will fill up quickly. We look forward to seeing everyone.
