English Literacy/Civics Education Grants

Kentucky Adult Education has funding available for up to 21 English Literacy/Civics grants for the 2009-10 fiscal year. 

 

Eligible applicants are core services grant providers in counties: 1) with more than 1,000 residents whose native language is other than English, according to the 2000 U.S. Census, or 2) that enrolled at least 70 ESL students in fiscal year 2007.  Eligible counties are Boone, Boyd, Breckinridge, Calloway, Campbell, Christian, Daviess, Fayette, Franklin, Graves, Hardin, Jefferson, Kenton, Madison, McCracken, Oldham, Pulaski, Scott, Shelby, Warren and Woodford.
