Adults who participate in a Kentucky Skills U program will learn, practice and master both the academic and soft skills needed to get a job and keep a job. These individuals can earn the following stackable credentials:
Accelerating Opportunity Kentucky (AOKY) -- AOKY allows participants an accelerated pathway to employment, to a GED® diploma and a KCTCS entry level certificate that meet the needs of the participant and the state and regional economy. These are occupational-specific credentials.
Kentucky Essential Skills Certificate (KESC) -- Kentucky's soft skills credential endorsed by Governor Matt Bevin.
National Career Readiness Certificate (NCRC) -- Provides employers with workers that have documented skills proficiencies and certifies applicants who employers can hire with confidence.
