Education is a crucial driver for incarcerated people in preventing recidivism when they re-enter society after serving their sentence.
Kentucky Adult Education has partnered with the Kentucky Department of Corrections to offer GED® prep classes to state and county inmates – giving them a plan for success upon release. Programs include adult literacy, adult basic education, adult secondary education/GED® test credential preparation and/or English as a second language.
By giving incarcerated individuals a second chance to become productive, valuable members of their communities, our entire state becomes a better place to live, learn and work.
